What makes a house a home to you:
What makes a house a home to me is family gathering spaces. It’s important to me that our immediate, extended and chosen family are always welcome in our home. A large open kitchen, casual dining and comfy family room are important to me to be able to have everyone over and make themselves at home.
#1 tip for a new homeowner:
Take your time with renovation and improvement projects. Once you’ve lived in the space and had time to really get a sense of a need for change, choose projects that will give you the highest return on your investment first.
Favorite thing to do or eat in Indianapolis:
I’ve always been drawn to the water. Growing up in Michigan, we had lakes everywhere, but now I find myself gravitating to the reservoirs in Indianapolis to watch boating. Our favorite nearby spot is to go to Rick’s Boatyard to watch the sailboat races from their deck.
