Existing Home Sales Increase but Overall Market Continues to Underperform: Wait… what? This headline is a bit of a head scratcher, but in reality it explains what real estate brokers continue to see in the market place.  According to Lawrence Yun, NAR Chief Economist, “Insufficient supply appears to be hampering prospective buyers in several areas…” While home sales are growing, that number could improve if the supply levels were to increase.

February New-Home Sales Highest in Seven Years: More new build contracts were signed in February 2015 than an other time since 2008. This is no shock to us given the current existing home inventory.  Many buyers are not able to find what they are looking for in an existing home and choose to build.

Redfin Enters the Indianapolis Market: Our own Founding Principal, Mark Zukerman, was quoted in this week’s Indianapolis Business Journal regarding the entry of Redfin to the market. He describes Redfin’s model as “‘very, very interesting’ and welcomes its entrance into the market.”

Lastly, we are happy again to make the Indianapolis Business Journal’s List of Largest Indianapolis-Area Residential Real Estate Agencies. At number 13, we’ve advance one spot in 2014 and are on schedule to improve again next year.
