2025 marks the 64th anniversary of the Decorators’ Show House & Gardens, a celebration of interior design and landscape architecture. Over several months, a team of top designers and architects are transforming the historic Baxter House in the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood of Indianapolis. Originally built in 1931, the home was designed by architectural firm McQuire & Shook, now Odle McQuire & Shook. Today, the home is protected by multiple historical commissions and has been remodeled and added onto several times. Many of the original features of the home, including inlaid glass artwork, custom woodwork, and iron railings have been maintained.

The event is the signature fundraiser presented by St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild in support of Eskenazi Health and is the longest-running tour of its kind in the United States. Since 1907, the guild has raised over $14 Million to further the mission of Indianapolis’ public hospital. Touring the historic home will support the guild’s goal of raising $1 Million for the John and Kathy Ackerman Mental Health Professional Development Center at the Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center.
